Corellium’s virtualization technology for the development and test of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has been integrated within the new Arm Virtual Hardware (AVH) platform following a licensing deal with the processor core giant.

The deal is intended to bring greater efficiency to hardware/software co-design for IoT projects in a hypervisor based environment that also targets embedded applications.

As a start-up, Corellium began by bringing its technology to the communications market and targets both mainstream developers and security specialists, particularly for DevSecOps projects.

“A primary objective of our Series A investment was to accelerate our initiative to transform IoT development, the way we have done with mobile,” said Corellium CEO Amanda Gorton “Our partnership with Arm represents an enormous step in that initiative as Arm powers the vast majority of IoT devices in use every day.”

The AVH platform leverages cloud access to allow companies to accelerate time-to-market. “Through our partnership with Corellium, we have been able to rapidly expand Arm Virtual Hardware,” said Mohamed Awad, vice president, IoT and Embedded at Arm.

Corellium offers a free trial of its virtualization technology at its website and has a dedicated site for the new IoT initiative. More details on AVH can be found here.
